Hey Jim! It IS a great way to build traffic to your website. But then again, you still need to be providing value of some sort, for people to follow you on Twitter and will then see your request to post the answers on your blog.

I love Twitter and think we have only begun to “scratch the surface” of the ways in which we can utilize it to build our businesses.

Posting a question on Twitter and asking for an answer in your blog comments is a great idea. I never thought of coordinating the two.

Great idea. I know how easy it is to get stuck lurking on forums, communities, Twitter, or even blog comments, but it's much more better to get involved. You meet lots of interesting people too! Some people lurk through their whole lives. Starting a blog definitely demonstrates that you're not a lurker, but you should maintain it by continuing to cover your topic, and it should be fun if you love your topic. I started using Twitter four months ago, and while I don't have too many followers or conversations, I use it as a running journal of my projects and thoughts (400+ tweets) so far. I just joined Twitter and found out is a very good tool to meet people and share a lot of ideas. I am not expert yet but hope to find my way through as I move along. I glad you brought this topic so people can share the great things they find in these social networks.

I am like Magda I can sit here and write and design and all the other introverted stuff when it comes to my site, however when it comes to doing any videos or audio things I cringe away from it. I think some of it is being too self aware of my smile. Especially in respect to being video recorded. Before I had nasal surgery I had a nice smile and now when I see my smile on video or camera it looks like a part of my face is paralyzed or something. I also have a southern accent that shows through on more than one occasion and when I hear it coming out I just want to shut up. I know these things are small things really cause when it comes down to it if you are a respected authority in your niche or even a trusted resource for your niche then how you talk should be a non issue.

This is a great topic! I can list a bunch of things but just to name a few: For one I still hold a day job so I really only have time to network online. I am also really good at connecting with potential clients but cant get any solid business from it! I am still a little on the shy side and not good at speaking to strangers unless I am with at least one person that I know. Also, HATE COLD CALLING! I know some people swear by it but I just cant get into it. I think that is about it for me when it comes to networking. So what are your challenges?

This is I suppose more an annoyance than a challenge but I thought I would share it with you nonetheless – being bombarded with invitations from friends, acquaintances and people I barely know to join this social network or that social network. I believe in focusing on just a few networks (Twitter, Facebook and Ning being my favorites) because I don’t have time to do them all.I also like to empty my email inbox twice a day so it is irritating to have these invitations causing clutter – sometimes I get several invitations from the same network on the same day.
